SABOBA: AMBULANCE SERVICE COMMITTEE INAUGURATED

In fulfilment of the NPP’s 2016 manifesto promise to give all 275 constituencies an Ambulance to improve emergency health care delivery in country, the president of the republic of Ghana Nana Addo Akufo Addo on the 28th of January,2020 inaugurated and distributed 307 Ambulances to all 275 constituencies and the Saboba constituency was not left out.

To ensure their share of the ambulance would be used effectively to fulfill its intended purpose, The Saboba District Assembly instituted a six member committee to see to the day to day use of the ambulance.

The district chief Executive for Saboba Hon. George Kitingyaan Bigrini at the inaugural ceremony on Tuesday, 25th January, 2020 assured the committee that the district assembly is prepared to bear the cost of fuelling the ambulance but charged the committee to ensure the ambulance run’s at all times.The Saboba district director of health Mr Faruk Braimah ,a key stakeholder in health care delivery in the district on his part admonished the district assembly to ensure there is availability of funds (set aside from the DACF) to avoid unnecessary constraints.

He also stated that the the purpose of the ambulance exclude carrying corps from homes to mortuary’s and the vice versa.
He asked the general public to avoid prank calls.
